Career Development Workshop
On March 24 from 5:00-6:30pm, join UA-WiSE at their Career Development Workshop. This year, the workshop will focus on interview skills. Please RSVP here as spots are limited.
The University of Alberta Career Centre will provide a step-by-step walk through of an interview. The presentation will outline tips such as how to make a good first impression and win over nervousness, what constitutes good body language, what questions to ask at the end of interview, how to leave a lasting impression, etc.
After these topics are covered, students will be paired off and given a list of typical interview questions. They will have the chance to each other one or two questions and take turns giving each other feedback.
After that, the workshop will regroup and students will have the chance to share some difficulties they had during the activity which the staff can then address.
The workshop will not be faculty/STEM specific in any way and can apply to any field of study.
