Black Tie Affair
 

Our Black Tie Affair was introduced in the 2014-2015 academic year and is an annual, ongoing event hosted on Women's History Month (March). A STEM-related topic is selected each year and several renowned keynote speakers are invited to share their experiences on topics such as leadership, research, and career development with a focus on empowerment. This elegant evening acts as a vibrant networking opportunity for students, educators, and STEM professionals; featuring local entertainment, photobooths, dinner, and so much more! 

Career Development Workshop 

 

Career Development Night features a presentation by CaPS which ranges from getting your application forms prepared for grad school to dressing professional for interviews.

Industry Mixer
 

This event invites various industries and companies to the University of Alberta. It is open to undergraduate students, graduate students and early-career professionals. The focus of this event is to give undergraduate students an opportunity to learn about potential internships and job position in various companies. Students have the opportunity to network with working professionals with a background in science and engineering and can exchange contact information for further follow up.
